Christ sends his disciple to be "the light of the world." If we are to share the joy and peace of His love, we have to activate the grace given to us in baptism, actively living and deepening our relationship with God, having been made His children. The center of such a relationship is prayer.
- Assess and deepen your prayer life by asking yourself at the end of each day this week:
- What have I said to God today?
- What has He said to me?
From the Catechism
1243 The white garment symbolizes that the person baptized has "put on Christ," has risen with Christ. The candle, lit from the Easter candle, signifies that Christ has enlightened the neophyte. In him the baptized are "the light of the world." The newly baptized is now, in the only Son, a child of God entitled to say the prayer of the children of God: "Our Father."
