PRINCIPAL

Mrs. Rebecca J. Evans

Mrs. Evans is excited to begin her first year here at St. James. She earned her BA in English and MA in Teaching from The University of Saint Mary. She earned her Ed.S in Administration from Arkansas State University. Mrs. Evans taught English for ten years prior to joining St. James. She and her husband Michael have three children, Lucy (6), Oliver (5), and Augie, 18 months.

Mrs. Krautmann has been the secretary at St. James for 23 years! She went to college at Central Missouri State University. She grew up in St. Thomas, Missouri. She has been married for 35 years and has two sons that are married and she has two grandsons. She has 5 sisters and 4 brothers.

We have a two preschool programs, 3 year old or 4 year old.  Our 3 year old program meets twice a week for a half day: Tuesdays & Thursday from 8am to 11am.  Our 4 year old program meets three times a week and students may go a half day or a full day: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8am to 3:30pm.

For the 2015-16 school year we gained a new preschool teacher, Mrs. Kristel Snodgrass.  Mrs. Snodgrass is in her second year teaching, first for St. James.  Mrs. Julie Fischer will join her as her aide; this is her fourth year at St. James.

Mrs. Julie Fischer is in her eighth year at St. James. She is a graduate of Platte Junior College and attended North Central Missouri College for Continuing Education Early Childhood classes. She is married to Jamie and has three children. She is a grandma of four, three of whom attend St. James, Makenzie, Dustin, and Benjamin.

Mrs. Brandy Flores graduated from Missouri Western with a major in Elementary Education and my emphasis is in Early Childhood Education. This will be my seventeenth year teaching Kindergarten.  I taught for six years at St. Patrick before coming to St. James. I have two amazing children.  My oldest daughter, Olivia, will be in the sixth grade here at St. James.  My son, Brooks, will be in third grade this year.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Megan Trautman. This will be my first year teaching second grade at Saint James. I have previously taught second grade for two years after graduating Northwest Missouri State University in 2015 with a Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education and Special Education.  I live in Easton, MO with my husband, Andrew, and our 16 month old daughter, Lillian, as well as having another little one on the way in December.

Mr. James McCord will be teaching his second year here at Saint James.  He is a graduate of Missouri Western State University with his B.S.E. in elementary education with an emphasis in social science.  He is also a father of two children..Mr. McCord has been a former board member for Roubidoux Resident Theatre, and actor with RRT, Missouri Western, and Theatre Atchison.  This past summer Mr. McCord worked with Creative Arts Production of Madagascar Jr, A Musical Adventure as their Educational Director.  Mr. McCord is excited to be back for the 2017-18 school year!

Mike Gentry is excited to be teaching fifth grade at St. James.  A native of St. Joseph, he attended Central High School and graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a degree in Communication Studies and has a law degree from the University of Kansas.  He lives in St. Joseph with his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Ms. Molly Dolman earned her doctorate at Washburn University School of Law, and bachelors degree at University of Missouri-Columbia. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras. She teaches 6th-8th grade science and social studies. Ms. Dolman is eager to meet her students, and grateful to be a part of St. James's supportive faculty and community.

Ms. Olivia Leno originates from Overland Park, Kansas. In May 2015, she received a double B.A. in English Literature and French from Benedictine College. She recently graduated from KSU, where she spent the past two years working towards an M.A. in French literature, while writing a thesis on the modern Catholic novel in France and teaching introductory French to undergraduates. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, singing at weddings, and watching movies. This will be her first year at Saint James and she is excited to join the Saint James community.

Mrs. Emily Prendergast

Emily Prendergast attended Northwest Missouri University for 1- 1/2 years before becoming a wife and mother of five. She has taught at St. James for the last 17 years. She has taught PE, Technology, been a para in both Pre-School and Kindergarten, but the position she enjoys most is being  librarian and teaching Art which she has been doing for the last several years. She enjoys reading and trying new art techniques she can share with students. She also loves her six granddaughters.
